The new cross border tourism destination international promotion
New tourism destination established within the project in cultura veritas was promoted at the Ferien Messe Wien 2020 Tourism Fair
In the period between 16th and 19th January 2020 project partners participated in the Ferien Messe Wien 2020 international tourism fair in Vienna in order to present a new cross border tourism destination developed as one of the project In cultura veritas' key outcomes.
For the purpose of promoting the new destination, project partner Development Agency Sotla rented a promotional stand which was equipped with promotional materials and additional equipment for informing visitors about the new cross border tourism destination offer and enhancing project's visibility within the international surrounding.
This fair was an exquisite place for promoting the project and new destination due to its increased popularity among exhibitors and visitors on a yearly basis. This year the fair was attended by around 800 exhibitors from more than 80 countries of the world.
The fair was also attended by representatives of all the project partners. By distributing promotional materials and direct communication with the visitors, the project partners conveyed message about established central digital catalogue which gives insight into overall tourism offer in the cross border project area.

The visitors showed great interest in promotional materials and videos of the destination whilst their attention was particularly drawn by the exhibited wines that are typical for the destination (e.g. Samobor bermet, Kraljevina Zelina, laški reisling). During conversation with the visitors, we found out that the greatest interest for the new destination is shown by traditional guests in the Croatian and Slovenian tourism destinations, however a great interest was also expressed by the potential visitors from the Asian markets which strive to visit undiscovered continental tourism destinations in Europe. Generally, the new destination is attractive to visitors of different preferences and age groups, because it contains offer within a variety of selective tourism forms (outdoor tourism, eno-gastro tourism, wellness and spa, cultural tourism, eco tourism…).
Amongst other things, the partners have established initial contacts with a few travelling agencies for the purpose of mutual cooperation in the future, needed to further boost promotion and sustainability of the new destination through sale of the tourism services and products.
Until the end of the project and after that, the project partners will continue to strongly promote new destination's offer through cooperation with the key stakeholders and dissemination of the digital catalogue's visibility.
